Development – Youth & Schools

With World Lacrosse and Luxembourg Ministry of Sport support, Luxembourg Lacrosse continues to invest in its youth and regional development.

Schools form the heart of youth development with the vision of enabling inter-school competitions in the near future. With “Lacrosse Academy” already launched at Lycée Guillaume Kroll (LGK) in Esch since October’20, Lycée des Arts Et Métiers having provided with 21 complete Lacrosse kits (sticks, helmets, gloves, arm guards and balls) worth 5000€ recently and plans to equip two additional schools with such equipment loans, we are close to our vision of creating a core for an inter-school Lacrosse tournament in 2021.

Interested schools should email academy@lacrosse.lu. For selected schools, Luxembourg Lacrosse will organise World Lacrosse-approved coaching qualifications for PE teachers, organise youth practices for after-school activities and allow youth players to easily transition to club Lacrosse or even the National Team.

Luxembourg Lacrosse also provided Saarbrücken Lacrosse in Germany with Sticks on Loan, in order to help them develop Club Lacrosse as second pillar next to it’s university programme. We also ran numerous online coaching clinics, collaborated with European Lacrosse Federation (ELF) with the aim of having more and more young coaches to grow the game in Europe.
